The Manila Baroque Ensemble Concert

February 21 and 22, 2027 (Sun & Mon)

The Manila Baroque Ensemble brings the rich musical heritage of the Baroque era to life through performances that celebrate the artistry, depth, and enduring beauty of early music. Dedicated to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, the ensemble contributes to the appreciation and continued performance of a repertoire that has shaped the course of Western classical music.

Since its debut at the 43rd International Bamboo Organ Festival in 2018, the Manila Baroque Ensemble has become a returning presence in the festival’s celebration of historical music and cultural heritage. Its performances have featured collaborations with distinguished Filipino and international musicians, bringing together instrumental and vocal traditions in programs that reflect the richness and diversity of Baroque music.

Among its notable festival appearances was its participation in the 48th International Bamboo Organ Festival in 2023, presenting Baroque music from Europe and Latin America alongside Collegium Vocale Manila and guest musicians. In 2024, the ensemble took part in performances commemorating the 300th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. John Passion, further highlighting its contribution to the presentation of significant works from the Baroque repertoire. Most recently, during the 51st International Bamboo Organ Festival in 2026, the ensemble joined the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club for Treasures of the Baroque, a program featuring music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi, alongside Latin American villancicos that illuminate another dimension of the region’s musical history.

Through its continuing participation in the International Bamboo Organ Festival, the Manila Baroque Ensemble helps sustain a musical tradition that connects historical artistry with contemporary audiences. Its return reflects the festival’s enduring commitment to bringing together musicians, preserving musical heritage, and creating opportunities for audiences to encounter the richness of classical music in a setting shaped by the faith, craftsmanship, and cultural identity of Las Piñas.

For the 52nd International Bamboo Organ Festival in February 2027, the Manila Baroque Ensemble returns for two concert appearances: February 21 at the historic St. Joseph Parish Church in Las Piñas, home of the world-renowned Bamboo Organ, and February 22 at San Ignacio Church in Intramuros. As the festival welcomes the ensemble once more, audiences are invited to experience an evening of musical artistry within the continuing story of the International Bamboo Organ Festival.

Tickets will be available soon. Stay tuned for updates!
